Dr. Kelly Philiba is a naturopathic doctor/general practitioner with a passion for working with clients to develop unique lifestyle-enhancement careplans using evidence-based, affordable, sustainable and creative natural solutions. She is knowledgeable about and supportive of each client’s individual approach to optimizing their quality of life.

Dr. Kelly Philiba holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of Albany where she graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2008. While excavating an archaeological dig site in Belize, Dr. Philiba witnessed first-hand the historical lineage and efficacy of natural medicines. A native New Yorker; she returned to her home state to explore the potential applications of these interventions in the design of individualized mental health and memory-care programs. Inspired to further her education, Dr. Philiba moved cross-country to Portland, OR earning her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine at the National College of Natural Medicine in 2015, where she was honored with a “Helping Hand Award” for her commitment to her school and community. Amid her studies Dr. Philiba’s decade of experience in program design for 501(c)(3) organizations and a zeal for providing equal access to resources for underserved populations led her to found the Oregon Chapter of Naturopaths Without Borders. For the past decade Dr. Philiba has been working in an allopathic setting honing her expertise in evidence-based practice and medical informatics, and studying ways naturopathic medicine can work complimentarily to conventional medicine to help patients achieve optimal wellness. Dr. Philiba has presented at several national and international conferences and has seen her research published in her current informatics career. Dr. Philiba has passed the NPLEX Boards for Naturopathic Medicine (including Minor Surgery) and holds an active naturopathic physician license in the State of Connecticut.  A deep passion for the biopsychosocial aspects of medicine guides her design of individualized careplans ensuring that every single patient, neighbor, and family-member receives thoughtful, evidence-based, and state-of-the-art care. When she has the opportunity to “unplug,” Dr. Philiba can (well, could potentially) be found exploring unique and beautiful places; hiking, biking, playing and listening to music, cooking, dancing, and enjoying delicious food with her fiancé and son.
